Picking up where we left off in PM7, we’ve taken the remaining hometowns of the artists from Billboard’s top 50 in the month of September and listed them out for you.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Billboard Top 50 Project (which we started in PM7), we sought to shed light on the question, “How does being from _________ affect an artist’s popularity?” By doing so we looked at the top 50 songs from each week in September, kept track of each artist that created those songs (some had multiple hits for multiple weeks), found out where each artist was from, then tallied and ranked the cities that improved one’s chances of hitting it big in the music industry.
In PM7 we gave you the top 15 cities; we are now proud to present the rest of the list.
